Ampere Magnus G Max Updated With New Smart Tech: All Details Inside

Ampere has updated the Magnus G Max electric scooter in India with new connected technology. Priced at Rs 1,09,999, it now gets the NxG.io software platform.

The update adds over 30 connected functions for everyday riders. Key additions include cruise control, hill hold assist and turn by turn navigation. The scooter also gets new app based functions through Ampere Connect. In the EV two wheeler market, it competes with the Ola S1 X, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.

Ampere Magnus G Max Gets More Connected

The new software brings several features focused on convenience, safety and ownership. Riders can use the Ampere Connect app to access:

• Real time charging information
• Vehicle location and charging history
• Battery health information
• Geo fencing and theft alerts
• Tow notifications
• Remote diagnostics
• Service booking
• Find My Scooter and Ping My Scooter

These functions can make regular scooter ownership easier, especially when tracking charging or vehicle location.

OTA Updates And More

The electric scooter also supports over the air software updates. This allows Ampere to improve or revise certain software functions remotely.

The long term benefit will depend on how frequently useful updates arrive. However, the system gives the scooter scope to gain improvements after purchase.

Remote diagnostics could also prove useful during ownership. It may help identify certain issues before the rider visits a service centre.

Battery And Range Details

The Magnus G Max uses a 3kWh LFP battery paired with a motor producing 2.4kW of peak power.

Ampere claims an IDC certified range of 142km. Its claimed real world range stands at more than 100km. This setup keeps the scooter focused on urban commuting and routine daily travel.

With its latest software upgrade, Ampere is adding more technology without changing the scooter's basic electric powertrain.
