2025 Honda Shine 125 Launched in India: Know New Features and Upgrades

Honda has introduced the new Shine 125 in India. It is available in two variants: Drum Brake Variant at Rs. 84,493 and the Disc Brake Variant at Rs. 89,245 (ex-showroom). The Shine 125 is India's top-selling 125cc motorcycle, which is renowned for its fuel efficiency and reliability.

The 2025 version features new updates, improved technology, and a more advanced engine that meets the current emission regulations. Honda introduced new colour options and design enhancements to make it more appealing.

Design & Colours

The 2025 Honda Shine 125 still retains its simple yet sophisticated appearance, thus making it an ideal car for commuting. The shape of the body remains the same, but Honda has applied some small changes to make its appearance and performance better.

In addition, one major improvement is the increased size of the rear tyre, which gives the bicycle increased road grip and stability. It comes in six colours, namely Pearl Igneous Black, Geny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue.

New Features and Technology

The most significant upgrade in the 2025 Honda Shine 125 is the newly implemented digital cluster. The display now indicates real-time mileage, distance to empty, service reminder, gear position, and an Eco indicator.

Honda has also provided a USB Type-C charging socket. It is convenient for commuters to charge their mobile phones on the go. Another big change is the fact that the rear tyre has increased in width to 90mm, which provides more road grip and stability.

Engine and Performance

The 2025 Honda Shine 125 is equipped with a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. It churns out 10.6 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is OBD2B-compliant, which is the current government standard for emissions.

Honda has also added an Idling Stop System, which automatically turns off the engine if the bike remains stationary for an extended period of time. The system enhances fuel efficiency and emission control.

The bike is equipped with a five-speed transmission for smooth travelling. For suspension, it features telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers, which give it a smooth ride on Indian roads.
