The new Ducati Multistrada V2 has arrived in India at Rs 18.88 lakh (ex-showroom). This update brings a fresh V2 engine and a lighter body. In addition, there are two trims: the base Multistrada V2 and the premium Multistrada V2 S. Both models aim to blend comfort, agility and all-road capability. Let’s know more about this bike in detail.
The base version of the Multistrada V2 comes in Ducati Red and starts at Rs 18.88 lakh. In addition, the S variant is more feature-rich: priced at Rs 20.99 lakh in Ducati Red and Rs 21.29 lakh in Storm Green. These are ex-showroom figures. The S model offers added tech and comfort, while the base still gives strong value.

The bike comes with twin 320 mm discs at the front and a 265 mm disc at the rear, using Brembo calipers and cornering ABS. The bike also features a 6-axis IMU to govern Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and cornering functions.
Riders can pick from five Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and Wet, which adjust engine response, suspension (on S version), and electronics accordingly. The S model also gets the Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 on the gearbox, which makes clutchless upshifts and downshifts possible.
This Ducati bike features a new 890 cc twin-cylinder “V2” engine. It delivers around 114 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. This engine uses variable intake valve timing to keep performance smooth and linear.
In addition, Ducati has trimmed the kerb weight significantly: the base version weighs 199 kg, and the S version 202 kg, both measured without fuel. That means about 18 kg lighter compared to the outgoing model. The lighter engine and revised chassis parts like frame, sub-frame and swingarm all play a role in improving agility and balance.
The Multistrada V2 is built to go beyond just smooth roads. The base bike uses mechanically adjustable 45 mm Marzocchi suspension with 170 mm travel front and rear. However, the S version steps up with electronically controlled Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS).
This semi-active system adapts to road conditions and rider input. It also features a “Minimum Preload” function to lower suspension at a stop, which is handy for city traffic or heavy gear. Both variants ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres.
The bodywork features flowing lines inspired by the larger Multistrada bikes, and a compact front profile. The LED headlight setup with DRLs and revised exhaust design adds both form and function. In addition, seat height has been lowered and narrowed to improve reach to the ground while maintaining a relaxed touring posture.
Passenger comfort has been enhanced too with better grab-handles, increased legroom and repositioned mounts for luggage and top-box. Ducati also offers an expanded accessory range: aluminium or plastic luggage cases, engine guards, a centre stand and optional spoked wheels for rougher terrain.
