Yamaha's New Tenere World Rally Edition Launched

Yamaha released Special Dakar Livery, which will cost Rs. 13.41 Lakh.

The Yamaha Tenere World Rally Edition is an impressive bike that celebrates Yamaha's Dakar Rally history. Yamaha won their first Dakar Rally in 1979 with the XT500 bike. It's a gruelling off-road race spanning thousands of kilometres. However, Yamaha's victory proved their commitment to performance and endurance.

The Tenere World Rally Edition from Yamaha pays homage to its 1993 Dakar bike by including its iconic Dakar-winning livery. This design will return memories for fans and enthusiasts following Yamaha's Dakar journey through the years.

Features of Yamaha Tenere World Rally Edition

A few more additions have been made to this motorcycle. This bike gets a KYB long travel suspension system and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust. The fuel tanks on both sides remain the same. However, the seat is updated with a new World Rally logo and now has a flat, two-piece design. There is so much improvement done to provide lots of comfort during long travelling days of riding.

The inclusion of a three-mode switchable ABS and the Öhlins adjustable steering damper is another valuable addition, helping stabilise the motorcycle's front end. 

The five-inch colour TFT screen with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity is a modern touch allowing riders to access information. 

The Engine of New Yamaha Tenere

The Tenere World Rally Edition continues to be powered by a 689cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine delivering 72.4bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 68 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is attached to a six-speed gearbox, providing smooth gear shifts and versatility across different riding scenarios.

Price and Availability of the Yamaha Tenere

The pricing of Rs 13.41 lakh indicates that this special edition Tenere motorcycle falls within the premium range. It should be noted that the bike will solely be accessible within European markets, with deliveries commencing this month.
