The new Yamaha XSR 155 has entered the Indian market with strong demand and a limited-time introductory price. It is launched at Rs 1,49,900 (ex-showroom), the bike is currently available at this rate only until the end of February 2026. However, prices may rise by around Rs 5,000 from March.
The motorbike has already registered good sales figures. As the statistics of Yamaha Motor India show, the company sold more than 16,000 units in November 2025 and approximately 15,000 units in December. These numbers have made the XSR 155 the best selling bike of the brand in the country.

The Yamaha XSR 155 uses the same 155cc liquid-cooled engine seen on popular models like the R15 and MT-15. This motor includes Variable Valve Actuation technology, which helps the bike deliver smooth power. In addition, riders often appreciate this engine for its refinement and reliability.

The bike is fitted with the Yamaha Deltabox chassis, that is good in ensuring stability and grip during the riding process. Moreover, the bike is fitted with upside-down front fork and rear monoshock.
XSR 155 has both front and rear disc brakes and dual channel ABS. Moreover, the bike has the traction control that gives the rider confidence. Therefore, it can be concluded that Yamaha has given much consideration to the way and safety of the bike.
The XSR 155 is designed in a distinctive neo-retro design, and this has won the hearts of several. Besides that, the bike also has official accessories that the buyer can utilize to customize the bike. The Yamaha XSR 155 feels lighter when compared to its rivals, like Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
