Yamaha MT-03 is Likely to Debut in India Soon

The Yamaha MT-03 is all set for its debut in India next month. This bike is likely to compete against the KTM 390 Duke. Here is what you need to know about this bike model.
 

Yamaha MT-03: Performance

Yamaha MT-03 will be powered by a 321 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing 40.4 bhp & 29.4 Nm torque. The engine and power outputs are similar to R3. Additionally, this engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. This bike will come with upside-down forks up front, a monoshock suspension system & discs at both ends with ABS.
 

Yamaha MT-03: Design

The MT-03 will offer a radical front design with aggressive lines & creases adorning its bodywork. This design is inspired by the MT-07, which is also expected to be launched soon. In contrast, the rear end will be identical to its fully-faired sibling, the R3. This bike will feature LED turn signals & a projector headlamp accompanied by LED DRLs.
 

Yamaha MT-03: Features

Similar to the R3, the MT-03 features a dual-channel ABS, LED lighting & an LCD instrument cluster. Moreover, this bike is fitted with a slipper clutch & upside down forks as well. However, the MT-03 doesn’t have features like Bluetooth connectivity, quick-shifter or ride modes, outshining it from its competitors.
 

Yamaha MT-03: Price & Rivals

We expect the Yamaha MT-03 to be priced around Rs 3.5 Lakhs, undercutting the fully-faired R3. The MT-03 will be slightly more expensive than the 390 Duke, which is priced at Rs 3.10 Lakhs. Besides, the MT-03 will compete against KTM 390 Duke, KTM 250 Duke, BMW G310 R or the Honda CB300R.
