Yamaha Launched a New Scooter in Malaysia Similar to Aerox 155

The name of the New Scooter is Y16ZR Doxou Tech, launched for the Malaysian Market.

Yamaha launched its New Scooter, Y16ZR Doxou Tech, which looks similar to Aerox 155. It is a special edition scooter specially made for the Malaysian Market. The sporty-maxi design makes it a desirable scooter that looks similar to Aerox 155. In addition, this scooter has bigger alloys, like bikes, with high market demand in Malaysia.

Features of Yamaha Y16ZR

The Yamaha Y16ZR features a striking design with a split LED headlight and a central-set daytime running light (DRL) present below the handlebar cowl. The bike also consists of sharp side panels with a tail-up posture and a scooped single seat, giving it a sporty look. Unlike its competitor, the Yamaha Aerox, the Y16ZR comes with a foot lever for the rear brake and a gear shifter. The bike's attractive design is further enhanced by its stylish alloy wheels.

Engine Specifications of Yamaha Y16ZR

The Yamaha XMAX 155 maxi-scooter powers a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 155cc engine that delivers 17.7 bhp of power and 14.4 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The suspension setup consists of telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. A front and rear disc brake handles the braking duties. In addition, the XMAX 155 features an LCD instrument console that displays essential information such as the speedometer, trip meter, odometer, and fuel gauge.

Units Produced & the Market of Doxou Tech

The price for the Y16ZR is unknown, but the company confirms that only 5,000 units of it are produced. However, it will not be launched in the Indian Market as the Market here differs. Indian customers prefer scooters with a frugal engine, a flat floorboard, ample storage space, and other practical features.
