With so many electric scooters & fancy bikes on the road today, I just wanted a simple, low cost bike. I needed something that would save me money on petrol & not give me trouble on broken city roads. Then I searched on Google and read some reviews of some models that came under my budget. One of the models which had the most positive reviews was the TVS Sport.
Further, I searched for a TVS showroom near me in Pune and, fortunately, found one dealership near my house. After a short city ride, I made up my mind to purchase the TVS Sport and got it within 2 weeks of booking. I got this commuter bike at a very affordable price of Rs. 67,560. This is the TVS Sport price in Pune! It might differ in your city, depending on the taxes.
I recently completed 5,000 km on this bike. In the past 6 months, I have ridden it through cold mornings, hot traffic jams, & heavy rains. If you are also thinking of buying this bike in 2026 to save money on daily travel, here is my honest experience as a regular rider.

The riding position on the TVS Sport is very easy on the body. You sit straight up, the footpegs are right below you, & the handle is at a comfortable height. This means your back, shoulders, & wrists will not ache even if you ride for an hour in traffic.
The TVS Sport seat height is 790 mm, which is quite low. I can easily put both my feet flat on the ground at traffic lights, which makes it very easy to balance. The seat itself is long & has a lot of soft padding, so it feels good for short rides. However, if you ride for more than 50 km without stopping, the soft seat pushes down too much. Because of this, my lower back hurts a bit sometimes.

If you are buying a 110cc bike, the main thing you care about is how much petrol it drinks. This is where the bike really shines. It has a 109.7cc engine that uses fuel injection to save every drop of petrol.
In my daily use, the TVS Sport mileage has been around 72 to 75 kmpl in the city. The TVS Sport fuel tank holds 10 litres of petrol. Because the mileage is so high, a full tank lasts for almost 700 km or more. For me, this means I only go to the petrol pump once or twice a month, which saves a lot of time & stress.

Since this is a budget bike, it does not have disc brakes or ABS. It comes with standard drum brakes on both wheels.
To help you stop safely, TVS has put a synchronized braking system (SBT) on it. When you press the rear brake pedal, it automatically applies some brake to the front wheel too. In daily riding, this works well and stops the bike in a straight line without letting the rear wheel skid easily.
The front & rear suspension handles normal speed breakers & small bumps well. But if you hit a big, deep pothole fast, the bike is very light at 112 kg, so you will feel a sharp bump.
The TVS bike is very light, so it is super easy to turn quickly if a car or heavy vehicle suddenly stops in front of you. However, the tyres are thin & have tubes inside. The grip is perfectly fine on dry roads, but you have to be careful on wet, muddy roads or loose sand.
One of the best things about owning this bike is that it costs almost nothing to keep running. It is a very simple machine with no complicated parts that can break down.
In 5,000 km, I have done three regular services at the workshop. A basic service just includes changing the engine oil, cleaning the air filter, tightening the chain, and adjusting the brakes. Each service cost me only about Rs. 400 to Rs. 500, including the mechanic's charges.
The engine has a 4 speed gearbox where all gears shift upwards. The bike runs smoothly between 50 kmph & 60 kmph. Even on very hot summer days, the engine does not overheat or make noises, as long as you don't push it too hard.

TVS Sport comes with a simple analogue display. It indicates the speed, kilometres, average fuel economy, & fuel level. I found these features useful, but if it were digital, then it could become more appealing.
However, for a bike at this price range, these features are enough. Additionally, the chances of technical errors are lower. Overall, the dashboard is simple yet useful & user friendly.
