Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the Tracker 400 in the UK market as a new retro-styled roadster. The motorcycle is part of Triumph’s growing 400cc range and takes inspiration from flat track machines. It is based on the Speed 400 platform but features a distinct character and riding focus. However, despite being produced in India, the Tracker 400 is unlikely to be launched locally. Therefore, its availability will remain limited to select international markets for now.

The Triumph Tracker 400 carries a clean and purposeful design language. It features a flat and elongated seat that supports a classic tracker stance. Moreover, the slim fuel tank includes knee recesses for improved rider grip. The short tail section and seat cowl add to its old-school roadster appeal. In addition, minimal body panels keep the overall look light and uncluttered.
A round LED headlamp sits at the front, maintaining a traditional visual identity. Tracker style side panels further highlight its retro influence. Hence, the design focuses more on simplicity and visual balance.

The Tracker 400 has a 398.15cc single-cylinder engine that makes 41.5 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. Moreover, the engine is paired with a six speed gearbox for smooth power delivery. A slip and assist clutch is also offered for easier city and highway riding.
The triumph motorcycle uses a hybrid perimeter steel frame for structural support. Suspension duties are handled by USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. In addition, the Tracker 400 runs on 17-inch alloy wheels. These wheels are fitted with road-biased tyres that suit everyday riding conditions.
Triumph equips the Tracker 400 with modern rider focused features. It comes with full-LED lighting for improved visibility. A semi digital instrument cluster provides essential riding information clearly. Moreover, ride by wire throttle and traction control are offered as standard. Hence, the motorcycle balances classic looks with present day technology.
Although manufactured in India, Bajaj is unlikely to introduce the Tracker 400 locally. However, a 350cc tracker style motorcycle may be considered in the future. This possibility is linked to revised GST norms on motorcycles above 350cc. Therefore, market demand will play a key role in any future decision.
