SPIED Testing - New-Gen KTM RC 390 Coming Out In 2025!

We have been waiting for more updates on the upcoming KTM RC 390, and we have finally got a little sneak of it testing abroad. Looking at the leaked images, the bike looks stunning with an entirely resigned Moto3-inspired fairing with a better aerodynamic venting system. 

New Upgrades

The bike further features a bubble visor, and enhanced rear-view mirror, adding to the aerodynamic functionality. These new upgrades are giving the bike a touch of novelty for sure. In addition to this, the bike is also equipped with front fairing-integrated LED headlights & indicators with a fanged fairing design underneath the headlight. This setup strongly reminds us of the first-gen RCs by KTM in the past. 

Furthermore, this test mule was also seen sporting tail lights with indicators and a revamped instrument console. 

New-Gen KTM RC 390 sports a unique bolt-on aluminium subframe, a dual-fan curved radiator (similar to the 390 Adventure) & a billet aluminium triple clamp. KTM has also put thought into improving stability by equipping the new text mule with a longer and redesigned swingarm.  However, the handlebar setup, ergonomics & rear-set footpegs seem to be unchanged and share major similarities with the current-gen RC 390. 

Expected Technical Specs

2025 KTM RC will likely be powered by a much larger capacity (399cc), single-cylinder, and a liquid-cooled motor. We are expecting this engine to deliver more bottom-end grunts as compared to its predecessor. We are also hoping for an adjustable suspension on either end, making it much easier to tackle the Indian roads for the riders. 

Zooming into the spy shots, we can see a surprisingly shorter front fender, but that will probably be replaced with a longer one in the production model. Talking about the wheels & brakes, it seems like that would likely be the same as the current-gen RC 390. The test mule was seen to be running on the Pirelli tyres. 

Expected Pricing & Launch

This new KTM RC 390 will likely be launched in mid-2025 and carry a premium price tag of at least Rs 30,000 more than the current model. The current-gen RC 390 is priced at Rs 3,18,173 (ex-showroom price).
