Simple Dot One Electric Scooter Launched in India for Rs 1.39 Lakhs

Bangalore-based company Simple Energy has unveiled its latest electric scooter, the Simple Dot One, for an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1,39,999. Here are the top details you need to know about:
 

Pre-Bookings & Availability

Pre-bookings for the Simple Dot One will commence on January 27th for all customers. However, existing Simple One customers can opt to switch to the Dot One from January 1st, 2024. To secure a booking, customers will need to pay a token amount of Rs 1,947. Deliveries are scheduled to start in Bangalore first.
 

Battery Pack & Impressive Range

According to the manufacturer, the Simple Dot One boasts an impressive claimed range of 160 km, as per the IDC. Charging is facilitated by a 750W charger designed for the 3.7 kWh battery pack. Notably, the Dot One features specially designed tyres (90-90) that are tubeless and wrap 12-inch wheels, aiding in maximizing the range.
 

Colour Options

The scooter will be available in 6 stylish colour options: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, LightX, BrazenX, and Azure Blue.
 

Performance & Features

• Acceleration: The Dot One claims a 0 to 40 kmph time of 2.77 seconds.
• Motor Specs: The electric motor delivers a peak power output of 8.5 kW and a peak torque output of 72 Nm.
• Braking and Suspension: Equipped with a Combi-braking system, telescopic forks in the front, a monoshock at the rear, and disc brakes at both ends.
• Connectivity and Storage: Features a touchscreen instrument cluster supporting a connected application and a 35-litre under-seat storage compartment.
   

Simple Dot One Price in India

Despite an initial price of Rs 1 lakh offered to a limited number of customers, Simple Energy is currently facing challenges in terms of deliveries as it expands its product portfolio. It has launched its Dot One e-scooter for an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,39,999 in India.
