Royal Enfield is gearing up to replace the Continental GT 650 with its next-gen Continental GT 750, expected in early 2026. The bike has been spotted testing on Indian roads, showcasing retro fairing design and upgraded brakes.
Drawing inspiration from the GT‑R race bike, it will debut Royal Enfield’s new 750cc parallel‑twin engine platform. Enthusiasts can expect more power, refined styling, and a price premium over the GT 650. Let’s know more about this upcoming Royal Enfield bike in detail.
The new Continental GT 750 spy mule wears a vintage semi-fairing similar to the GT Cup racer. It also runs on alloy wheels and features dual up‑swept exhausts. Moreover, the bike appears to have chrome highlights on the engine and twin exhausts in its base form.
The design keeps clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs, preserving the sporty riding posture. Testing bikes with sport dual front disc brakes, which boost braking performance for the expected higher torque. Furthermore, the motorcycle’s suspension looks upgraded, with telescopic forks and rear shocks more robust than the 650 variants.
The GT 750 uses Royal Enfield’s upcoming R‑series 750cc parallel‑twin engine, a bored‑out version of the existing 648cc mill. It’s expected to produce around 55 bhp and 60 Nm of torque, significantly more than the current 650cc models.
This engine will likely feature a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, similar to the Interceptor 750’s setup. The new platform is codenamed R1E and will underpin other 750cc models like the Himalayan too.
Royal Enfield is expected to launch the Continental GT 750 before the end of FY 2026, possibly debuting at EICMA 2025. Reports peg the ex-showroom price around Rs 3.90 lakh, slightly higher than the current GT 650. As the brand’s first fully-faired 750cc model in India, it will likely set a new milestone in Royal Enfield’s mid-size portfolio.
