Ola Records the Highest Number of Electric Scooter Units Sales in April 2023

Ola sold more than 30,000 units in April 2023, the record for the Highest EV sales in a single month. It covered 40% of the market share with a 10% MoM sales growth. This is a huge success for the Bangalore-based startup, which is at the top of the Electric Two Wheeler Sales for the straight 8th month in a row.

A total of more than 30,000 units sold is Ola’s highest-ever monthly sales. On Achieving the landmark, The CMO of Ola Anshul Khandelwal said, To accelerate the momentum further, we will continue to expand aggressively on the product and upon the D2C network to serve this Demand.

It's impressive to see Ola's rapid expansion in experience centers nationwide. It is near to opening its 500th showroom and will soon double this number to 1000 showrooms by August 2023. It is to fulfill the company's goal to establish a robust electric vehicle ecosystem in the country. 

What to Expect in Experience Centres?

The plan to have experience centers in multiple locations will make it easier for customers to access their services and allow Ola to showcase its range of electric vehicles. Furthermore, with more experience centers, Ola can offer a wider range of services, including charging, vehicle sales, maintenance, and repairs, making it more convenient for EV owners.

In March 2023, Ola sold 27000 units and is planning to launch the Concert mode in its S1 Models. The Ola S1 has seen its expansion to six models with different battery pack capacity ranges of 2 kWh and 4 kWh. In addition, Ola is taking responsibility for the suspension failure claims and providing customer solutions for free. Ola is also planning to offer more zero-emission models across different segments.

It seems like Ola is offering the S1 Air as an affordable electric scooter. At the same time, the S1 and S1 Pro are at a slightly higher price and come with additional features such as longer-range capabilities. It will be interesting to see how these models perform in the market and stack up against the competition.
