The Norton Atlas range is expected to reach India by mid 2026, bringing fresh attention to the rising middle weight motorcycle segment. Recently, TVS Motor showcased the updated Norton lineup at Milan's EICMA show, including the Atlas and Atlas GT models.
The brand now intends to showcase these motorcycles before their entry into the market at the TVS MotoSoul 2025 event. This is thus expected to attract riders in this class in pursuit of new & capable machines.

TVS is preparing to introduce the Norton Atlas range in India around mid 2026. The models are expected to be shown at TVS MotoSoul 2025 in early December, giving buyers an early look before the launch. Moreover, the Atlas lineup will first enter the European market in April. The Indian rollout will follow soon after, allowing TVS to manage production and localisation smoothly. Hence, this phased approach ensures a steady entry into both markets.
The Norton Atlas range will use a new 585cc parallel-twin engine with a 270 degree crank layout. The motor will work with a six speed gearbox for smoother performance on varied roads. Moreover, this unit is believed to be an upgraded version of the 420cc TVS-BMW twin-cylinder engine. The added displacement comes from a larger bore and stroke setup. Hence, the new platform should offer improved power delivery for touring and mixed surface riding.

TVS will offer the Atlas in two versions named Standard and GT. The GT variant focuses on long distance touring and features 17 inch alloy wheels at both ends. However, the Standard version carries a 19 inch front and 17 inch rear setup with tubeless spoke wheels. These changes make the Standard variant more suitable for rough roads, while the GT caters to smoother highways and long journeys.
The Atlas range will feature a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth support, multiple ride modes, traction control and cornering ABS. In addition, the bike will offer LED projector headlamps with a cornering function and cruise control for better convenience. TVS will manufacture the Atlas lineup at its Hosur plant, which may help reduce overall pricing. Therefore, the expected starting price is around Rs. 5 lakh ex-showroom.
When it comes to Norton Atlas range it will compete with motorcycles like the Kawasaki Versys 650, Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and BMW F 450 GS. The following rivals match closely in terms of pricing & capability. Hence, the Atlas aims to balance features, comfort & value in this mid capacity space. Thus, the competitive price point could help the Norton brand strengthen its position in the Indian market.
