Bajaj Auto will launch the new Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in India on August 24. Both motorcycles will use a new platform with major design and mechanical changes.
The motorcycles have already started reaching dealerships and have been spotted ahead of the launch. This launch marks a major update for the Pulsar range as it completes 25 years in India.
The Bajaj bikes get a fresh frame, monoshock suspension, updated engines and new displays. Bajaj is also expected to keep their prices competitive against rivals in the 125cc and 150cc segments.

The new Pulsars feature a sharper design while retaining the familiar Pulsar identity. The front gets a larger headlight cowl and a new LED headlamp. The fuel tank looks larger and more muscular, while the rear section gets a slimmer design. These changes give both motorcycles a more modern appearance.
Both bikes will use a new frame with a telescopic front fork and monoshock suspension. This replaces the dual shock setup used on the outgoing Pulsar 150. Braking is handled by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.

The Pulsar 125 will use an updated 125cc engine paired with a five speed gearbox. Bajaj has not revealed its power and torque figures yet. The new Pulsar 150 will also get an all new engine. It has been spotted with an oil cooler, which should help with heat management.
The engine changes could affect performance and everyday refinement. Final power and torque figures will be confirmed at the launch.
The new motorcycles will also receive upgraded technology. The top variants are expected to feature a 5 inch colour TFT display.
The base Pulsar 150 variant is expected to get an LCD console. It should also offer basic connectivity and navigation features.
The new Pulsar 125 and 150 will face rivals such as the TVS Raider 125, Honda SP 125, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R.
Bajaj will reveal prices and complete specifications on August 24. The new platform and updated engines could make the launch important for Pulsar buyers. For buyers, the final price will be crucial, especially as both motorcycles enter competitive segments.
