The All-new Bajaj Chetak Likely To Be Launched on 20th Dec

On December 20, 2024, Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the upgraded Chetak Electric Scooter. There will be notable improvements in technology, design, and performance. Moreover, it will directly compete with scooters like TVS iQube, Ola S1 Pro, and Ather Rizta.
 

The 2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric will be ready to draw in more customers with its retro-modern style and better performance. With its emphasis on affordability and innovation, the brand may make the upgraded Chetak a formidable competitor. Moreover, the all-new model is based on a new chassis for improved durability and performance.
 

Possible New Features

Although minor design changes were seen in the spy photos leaked online, the overarching retro-modern aesthetic is still present. The body panels show off minor improvements, and to provide customers with more alternatives, new colour choices may be included. A new look is added to the rear portion with reworked tail lights that have a sharper LED pattern.
 

In addition, a monochrome LCD panel will replace the ostentatious TFT in the low-cost Bajaj Chetak. Details on the motor and battery parameters are still awaiting. Therefore, we might observe that the scooter has a range of around 90 to 100 kilometres and a peak speed of about 60 to 70 kilometres per hour.
 

Better Usability and Storage

The possible relocation of the battery pack to the floorboard region is one obvious modification. This would lead to better weight distribution, a lower centre of gravity, and more stability when braking, turning, and performing low-speed turns. 
 

Limited storage capacity is a major issue with the existing Chetak models that Bajaj might be able to solve. The battery might be moved to make under-seat storage better and more useful for everyday use. With this modification, the Chetak may now match rival models with more spacious storage spaces.
 

In addition, the removal of a lockable glove box underneath the front apron is another noticeable feature. The two open storage compartments you have instead appear deep enough to hold a phone and other small goods, such as a wallet. Moreover, the new Chetak uses a traditional ignition key rather than a keyless system.
