Limited Edition KTM 1290 Super Duke Unveiled by Brabus

Brabus, a German-based company, has recently unveiled its newly revamped product,  the 1300 R Edition 23. It is another version of the  KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO with a host of mechanical and styling features. Scroll below to read more about this new bike.

Brabus has transformed the aggressive-looking streetfighter bodywork into a neo-retro style. The tank lid is composed of carbon fibre, like the rest parts, in place of the LED headlight that resembles a boomerang. A denser one has replaced the basic seat with quilted stitching. It has bar-end mirrors and a broader handlebar. Additionally, new CNC-machined components have been used to replace other parts, including the footpegs, clutch, and brake levers.

The Brabus modified 1300R Edition 23 comes equipped with the same 1301 cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine motor, producing 180 bhp and 140 nm torque. This engine is perfectly tuned to a 6-speed gearbox with benefits from a bi-directional quick-shifter gearbox. Furthermore, Brabus has further swapped the KTM TFT Screen with their in-house built unit. And lastly, the stock Akrapovic exhaust has been switched with a custom-made twin-barrel unit from the company. However, features such as heated grips, rider aids, and cruise control have not received any alterations from the company.

As for the suspension for the 1300 R Edition 23, it is equipped with WP’s semi-active USD front forks along with a steering damper and rear mono-shock setup. The braking duties are handled by the Brembo Sytlema units that are mounted on the forged wheels wrapped in Bridgestone S22 tyres.

Brabus will be offering this one-of-a-kind 1300 R in 2 eye-catching colours - Stealth Grey and Super Black. A total of 300 units will be made available for the general public, with 145 units of each coloured variant. Booking of the same will begin from 16 February (tomorrow).
