Spotted: KTM 990 Duke Under the Works, Might Launch Soon

For the upcoming year, KTM has been developing a number of models, and the KTM 990 Duke has just been sighted testing once more. However, the bike model’s testing and development are still in their early phases.

The 990 Duke test mule has an entirely different headlamp from the regular Duke in terms of design (s). It has two LED projector headlights stacked vertically. The bodywork appears unique and a little rough, although that might be true for the test bike. It appears to gain from having a new subframe and a revised rear section.

Additionally, KTM has been developing a new twin-cylinder engine that it will probably use in the next RC 990 and 990 Duke models. The new 990cc motor’s pictures and specifications were already leaked. It demonstrates that, save from a few small differences, the engine housing resembles the 890cc unit quite well. Even the overall measurements appear to have undergone slight adjustments to allow KTM to utilise the current chassis.

The test mule for the 990 Duke is equipped with WP mono shocks and USD front forks. Its braking system is made up of Twin front discs and one rear disc with Brembo callipers. The new Duke is also anticipated to include a TFT display that is compatible with smartphones.

The test mule is now in its early phases and might be released later this year or at the beginning of 2024, as was previously indicated.
