Kawasaki ZX-4RR: Launches Oversees: Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Kawasaki has introduced a second sub-500cc inline four-cylinder motorcycle for international markets after the Ninja ZX-25R. This new motorbike, known as the ZX-4RR, has been launched in the United States with Starting price of USD 9,699 (Rs 7.93 lakh). However, its introduction in India is extremely unlikely in the meanwhile.

The new ZX-4RR has a similar aesthetic to its quarter-litre sister. As a result, it has a split-style saddle, full fairing, rear-view mirrors mounted on the fairing, and front turn indicators integrated into the fairing. However, this bike has a side-slung exhaust rather than a compact unit, like the ZX-25R. Moreover, the Kawasaki Racing Team’s colours and graphics are added. Additionally, the new Kawasaki ZX-4RR offers a long list of features, including ABS, LED lighting, power modes, a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour TFT display, and a three-level traction control system.

A 399cc, inline, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 16 valves (four valves per cylinder) and a remarkable 16,000 rpm maximum rev range makes up the mechanical specifications. This motor is connected to a six-speed transmission with a bidirectional quick-shifter and a slipper/assist clutch.

The suspension components of the Ninja ZX-4RR consist of a rear mono-shock and 37mm upside-down Showa SFF-BP front forks. The bike is built upon a trellis frame. The rear forks can be adjusted for a rebound, compression, and spring preload, and the front forks can be adjusted for preload. Then, this bike’s braking system has two 290mm disc brakes at the front and one 220mm rotor at the rear.

As previously stated, it is unlikely that this motorcycle will be available in India any time soon.
