Kawasaki has introduced the new Z1100 in India, priced at Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle replaces the Z1000 and brings a bigger engine along with several design and feature upgrades. It also takes on the Honda CB1000, Hornet SP, which sits slightly higher in price. Here is a detailed look at what the new Z1100 offers.

The Kawasaki Z1100 continues with the iconic Sugomi design that has defined the Z lineup for years. It still looks aggressive and powerful, and the sharp bodywork makes the bike stand out on the road. Moreover, the twin-pod LED headlamps, sculpted fuel tank, upswept exhaust, and pointed tail section give it a strong and muscular character.
Kawasaki has also added subtle improvements that make the bike feel more modern. The new colour theme, Ebony and Metallic Carbon Gray, gives the motorcycle a dark, stealthy look. Most of the components, including the engine, frame and wheels follow this blacked-out approach.

The Z1100 has a 1,099cc inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that produces 136 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The bike uses the same engine as the Ninja 1100SX. It gives strong power in the low and mid range for city rides, and also pulls smoothly and quickly at higher speeds.
In addition, the Z1100 uses a six-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slipper clutch as well as a bidirectional quickshifter. The wider and more forward-set handlebar improves control and make the overall ride experience more engaging.
Kawasaki has equipped the Z1100 with an aluminium twin-tube frame for better stability. The suspension setup includes fully adjustable Showa USD forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the SE variant features an Ohlins S46 unit with a remote preload adjuster.
This Kawasaki bike features 310mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc, sourced from Tokico. The SE model goes even further with Brembo M4.32 calipers and steel-braided brake lines. Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres complete the hardware package.
The Z1100 gets a major electronic upgrade. It comes with a 5-inch TFT display that supports Bluetooth and navigation through Kawasaki’s Rideology app. The motorcycle also includes a long list of rider aids, such as:
All of these systems work together through a five-axis IMU, giving the rider more control and confidence.
