Honda Two-Wheeler Sales Rise by 14.7% in Apr26

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India reported steady sales growth during April 2026 across domestic & export markets. The company recorded higher demand across segments, reflecting steady market activity & buyer interest nationwide. Domestic sales showed a clear increase compared to last year, while exports grew at a faster pace during the same period. The overall performance remained supported by a wide product lineup & a strong sales network spread across India.

Domestic sales register steady year on year increase

Honda recorded domestic sales of 4.84 lakh units in April 2026, showing a 14.7 per cent increase. The company had sold 4.22 lakh units during April 2025 in the domestic market. Therefore, the growth reflects stable demand across commuter and premium two wheeler segments in India.

Total sales cross 5.63 lakh units in April

Total sales, including exports, reached 5.63 lakh units in April 2026 for Honda. This number was higher than 4.80 lakh units recorded in April last year. Hence, the company posted an overall growth of 17 per cent during the month.

Tsutsumu Otani, President & CEO, HMSI, said “Demand across the two-wheeler market remains resilient across segments. We will continue to respond with agility to market dynamics while focusing on delivering sustainable and stable growth.” 

Export sales show stronger growth momentum

Export numbers grew significantly during April 2026, showing better performance compared to domestic sales. Honda exported 79,600 units during the month, compared to 57,900 units last year. Moreover, this resulted in a strong year on year growth of 37.4 per cent.
