Honda Rebel 500 Doppelganger by a Chinese Company is Sportier with a Twist!

China has done it again! Wuling, a very popular car manufacturer, has revealed its first bike - Wuling Serpol 1, and it is a clear copy of a mainstream bike - the Honda Rebel 500. However, this time, the Chinese company has given the bike a rather interesting twist. 

Regarding the design, the Serpol 1 and Rebel looks very similar, rocking a muscular and rugged styling. The bike comes with a low-slung saddle, upright handlebars, and a high-rise fuel tank. However, what sets this doppelganger bike apart is its sharp bikini fairing reminiscent of the MV Agusta Superveloce Serie Oro.

Serpol 1 is powered by a Euro-5-compliant 494cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine that belts out 54 bhp. Serpol 1’s engine turns out to be more powerful than Honda Rebel 500, which has a 471 cc engine generating 46.2PS.

Serpol 1 is further equipped with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorber setup. In addition, it comes with radial disc brakes at either end with ABS. In contrast, the Rebel comes with an axial disc for braking duties. Serpol 1 has  16-inch front tubeless spoke wheels with a fat 130/90 tyre, while the Rebel gets alloy wheels. Apart from this, Serpol 1 comes with LED lighting.
