Honda 100 cc Commuter Bike 3rd Teaser Released; Launching on 15th March 2023

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is launching a new Hero Splendor rival later this week and have released a 3rd teaser video of the same. It will be the brand’s new 100cc commuter bike in the Indian market and will launch tomorrow, 15 March 2023.

The company has yet to release the name of the bike. However, the launch event’s invitation has associated this upcoming product with a “shining future”. So, it won’t be surprising if the bike is launched under the CB Shine series. Honda CB Shine is the 2nd highest-selling bike by HSMI currently. 

The last teaser gave us a little sneak peek of the design, revealing a bold headlamp along with a bikini fairing, a pulled-back and wide handlebar, a single-piece seat and lastly, a side-slung exhaust system.

Honda is aiming to launch this commuter bike with very competitive price tags. So, maybe the base variants will feature drum brakes on the front and rear wheels. While giving disc brakes for its more premium variants. A combined braking system should be included as standard. As for the suspension, the bike should feature a telescopic front fork and twin-sided rear springs. 

Technical specifications of this upcoming commuter bike are yet to be made available. However, looking at the teasers released, this bike will definitely boast a 100 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. And the power output and peak torque figures should be similar to that of its rival - Hero Splendor, which belts out a 7.91bhp and 8.05Nm peak torque.
