Hero MotoCorp & Ather Energy Collaborate to Expand EV Network Across India

Hero MotoCorp & Ather Energy have formed a strategic partnership with an aim to expand the EV Public charging infrastructure across 100 cities across India. This dynamic collaboration will address the key concern of accessibility & convenience for the Indian EV owners. Through this collab, there is a major possibility of fast and reliable charging points being available almost everywhere. 
 

LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System)

The most important part of this collaboration is the development of a Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS). This has already been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This is an advanced system that integrates AC & DC combined charging connectors, creating a unified and user-friendly experience. 
 

1900 Fast-Charging Points

At the heart of this partnership lies the ambitious plan to establish 1900 strategically located fast-charging points. This extensive network prioritises a seamless and qualitative charging experience for EV users. User-centric mobile applications like Ather and My VIDA empower users with real-time information and navigation to the nearest charging stations.
 

LECCS's open standard fosters collaboration amongst different OEMs, contributing to a unified charging infrastructure.
