Hero Files for a New Trademark - Hurikan 440 | Will Be Based on Harley Davidson X440

Another day, another exciting bike news! Hero MotoCorp has just recently filed for a new trademark with the name - Hurikan 440. And it's going to be the new flagship model, based on Harley-Davidson X440.
 

For a long time, rumours have been swirling around that Hero MotoCorp is about to introduce an entirely new premium bike range. So, it won’t be surprising that this Hero Hurikan 440 would be the first model in the higher capacity segment. 
 

While it is based on the Harley Davidson X440 and will share the same chassis components & majority of mechanical specs, the Hero Hurikan 440 will sport a completely different design & riding dynamics. This bike is going to be a highly agile & powerful naked streetfighter addition to the Hero’s current portfolio with a very different & sporty exhaust note.
 

Hero Hurikan 440 is going to bring the same 440cc engine from the Harley-Davidson X440. This engine is capable of generating a peak power output of 27.37 PS at 6000 RPM and 38 Nm at 4000 RPM peak torque. However, the Hurikan is probably going to get an entirely revamped tuning of the engine to complement the naked character of the bike. 

 

We have yet to come across any prototype of this Hero naked streetfighter, but the brand is planning to introduce its new 440cc model later next year. It is going to be manufactured in India with major localisation. Till then, we will be sitting on the edge of our seats, looking out for any further updates on this spectacular Hero-naked streetfighter.
