Gogoro Launching A New Electric Scooter? Read to Know More Details Now!

Gogoro, a Taiwanese electric 2-wheeler manufacturer, has just made headlines by announcing a new e-scooter in India. Unfortunately, the company has not announced the name or any other details of this upcoming electric scooter. 
 

However, there have been multiple rumours swirling around, saying that this might be a CrossOver Adventure-styles scooter. For more context, this e-scooter was globally unveiled by Gogoro in October this year. 
 

The company had called CrossOver its ultimate 2-wheeler SUV, which is primarily focussed on on-road & some off-roading purposes. As for the design, it looks quite utilitarian & has sharp body panels, a big floorboard & a split-style spacious seat setup. 
 

What really caught our attention, though, was that the pillion seat could be folded up to double act as a rider’s backrest & make room for carrying luggage. Furthermore, the company has provided additional space for the riders to be able to carry luggage in the front, too. 

As for the battery specs, the CrossOver has a 7.5 kW electric motor powered by a swappable pair of battery packs with a combined capacity of 1.6 kWh. The company claims that this e-scooter boasts a range of 100 km on fully charged batteries. Moreover, the scooter rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels that are Maxxis dual-purpose tyres with a highly agile suspension system to deliver a smooth driving experience. 
 

Unfortunately, we will need to sit back and wait for more details about the specifications & the pricing of the Gogoro CrossOver. However, on December 12, the company will announce its expansion plan for its battery-swapping network across India.
