FADA Sales Report Reveals 2-Wheeler MoM DIP of 6.26% & YoY RISE of 8.15%

FADA has released its July 2023 sales report that showcased a YoY increase of 8.15% and an MoM dip of 6.26%. 

In July 2023, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 12,28,139 units, whereas in July 2022, the industry saw sales of 11,35,566 units. This translates into an 8.15 % increase in terms of YoY growth. However, compared to last month, July 2023, the industry reported a sales volume of 13,10,186 units. This translates into an MoM drop of 6.26%. 

Top 3 Manufacturers With Highest 2-Wheeler Sales Figures & Market Share

Hero MotoCorp LTD took the crown of selling the highest number of 2-wheelers in July 2023. The manufacturer reported a total sales volume of 361,291 units last month. However, as compared to last year’s same month, the company sold 361,664 units, translating into a YOY sales dip of 0.10%. The company also experienced a fall in its market share by 7.63%. 

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India took the spot after Hero MotoCorp. The company experienced a total sales unit of 299,090 in July 2023, leading to a 9.45% rise in its YoY sales growth when compared to 273,260 sales numbers registered in July 2022. In terms of market share, the company experienced a minimal but significant growth of 1.20%.

TVS Motor Company Ltd took the 3rd position registering a total sales unit of 213,101 in July 2023, marking a decent YoY growth of 17.93% when compared to sales figures of July 2022, which was 180,707. Subsequently, the company also experienced an increase in its market share by 9.04% in July 2023.

Top 3 ELECTRIC Manufacturers With Highest 2-Wheeler Sales Figures & Market Share

In July 2023, Ola Electric took the first position in the electric two-wheeler market for selling the highest number of EVs. The company reported total sales figures of 19,263 in July 2023, marking a massive growth of a whopping 398.40% when compared to July 2022 sales figures of 3,865.

Ather Energy Pvt Ltd took the next position after Ola Electric by selling 6,620 units in July 2023. For comparison, the company registered sales of 1,289 units in July 2022, reporting a phenomenal growth of 413.58%. In addition, the company also experienced remarkable growth in terms of its market share, which grew by 374.86%. 

And last but not least, the third position on the list is held by Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd for the month of July 2023. The company clocked in a total sales unit of 2,655 in July 2023, as compared to 3,401 units sold in July 2022. Due to this, the company saw a minor dip of 21.93% this month. Apart from this, the company also experienced a drop in its market share by 27.82% for the month of July 2023.
