FADA February 2023 Sales Report Released: Witnesses a 14.75% Rise YoY

For February 2023, 12,67,233 units of total 2-wheelers were sold in the Indian market. This indicates an increase in the total 2-wheeler sales in India by 1,62,924 units, translating to a 14.75% year-on-year increase in total 2-wheeler retail. As a result, the figures for the total 2-wheeler sold in the Indian market for February 2022 stood at 11,04,309 units.

This year too, we see Hero MotoCorp leading the entire 2-wheeler market in India with more than 3,90,673 units sold. This year, the company saw an increase of 12.14% YoY, with the February 2022 sales figure at 3,48,394 units.
Second on the list is the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., which saw a growth of 22.45%, with 3,02,184 units sold this year and 2,46,784 units last year in the same month. Finally, TVS Motor Company bagged 3rd place, with an increase of 24.19%, with 2,11,337 units sold this year and 1,70,179 units sold last year in the same month.
Ola electric remained the number one player in the electric two-wheeler market as last month, with a growth percentage of a whopping 351.33% this year. The company sold 17,647 units in February 2023 as compared to 3,910 units in February 2022.
Ola Electric is followed by Ather Energy Pvt Ltd., which saw a growth of 347.02%, with 9,982 units sold in February 2023 as compared to 2,233 units sold in February 2022. Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, yet again, took a big dip this month of 20.42%, with 5,858 units sold in February 2023 as compared to 7,361 units sold in February 2022.
