Ducati has launched the Ducati Desmo450 MX in India at Rs 17.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has entered the country’s off-road and motocross segment for the first time. The model recently appeared at the Indian Supercross Racing League finale, hinting at its arrival. However, unlike most Ducati bikes, this one focuses completely on off-road racing and dirt track performance.

The Desmo450 MX uses a 449.6cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with Ducati’s signature Desmodromic valve system. The engine produces around 62 bhp and 54 Nm of torque. In addition, it can rev close to 12,000rpm. Ducati says the engine offers a broad powerband with strong low and mid-range torque, while maintaining performance at higher revs.

The motorcycle uses a lightweight aluminium frame designed for rigidity and agility on rough terrain. Moreover, the bike comes with fully adjustable Showa components, including USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock. It also has a 260mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with Brembo hardware.
Bookings for the Ducati Desmo450 MX have already started in India, while deliveries will begin by the end of March 2026. However, Ducati will sell the bike through only four dealerships located in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune. In addition, the company will offer several performance accessories through its Ducati Performance catalogue.
