BMW CE 02 Electric Scooter Set for India Launch This Month

BMW is gearing up to launch its CE 02 electric scooter in India this month. In keeping with urban vitality, the CE 02 combines style, innovation and performance. Thanks to its futuristic design, it features an electric motor that allows for high-speed acceleration, a top speed of about 90 km/h per charge. This scooter is aimed at promoting eco-friendly city commuting for commuters who want a sustainable premium riding experience.

BMW Motorrad plans to launch its flagship electric scooter, the CE 02, in India this month. The company has confirmed this by sharing a teaser image on their social media.
 

Premium Urban EV Co-Developed by TVS and BMW

The BMW CE 02 is an urban electric vehicle manufactured by TVS at its Hosur plant and exported worldwide. Developed with the BMW EV platform, under this collaboration, TVS will build the CE 02 and incorporate some of its technologies into its products. The CE range aims to position itself as an urban solution by establishing a premium brand focusing on clean energy. This attracted a new segment of BMW customers around the world.
 

The CE 02 has a 2kWh battery and offers a choice of single or dual battery configurations. Depending on the configuration, the scooter can travel up to 90 km of range with a top speed of 95 km per hour or 45 km of range with a top speed of 45 km per hour. Like the CE 04, this scooter features modern styling and advanced features, making it a more desirable choice.
 

BMW is expected to price the CE 02 at around Rs 5 lakh, making it one of the most expensive scooters in India. The CE 04 will also be available in India at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be sold as a fully built (CBU) unit.
