There were various updates in the Indian two-wheeler market this week including a variety of brands and models. The manufacturers such as Yamaha Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, KTM & Yezdi Motorcycles launched new colour, minor price changes and future product changes. In addition, a new special edition motorcycle variant was also introduced, with the development of an extra accessory, by one of the brands.
The week saw some minor changes in various brands of motorcycles. There was an addition of new colour schemes to some of the models and there was a slight price variation on some models. In addition, another manufacturer also reassured of their next generation engine line up. Thus, the following is an overview of the crucial bike news that occurred within the two-wheeler market in the previous week.

Yamaha XSR155 has received a new Metallic Black colour option in the Indian market. The new shade is priced at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom Delhi) and sits as the most expensive colour option. Moreover, the motorcycle features a dark fuel tank and matching side panels along with a black seat. Gold finished USD forks and chrome logos add contrast to the overall dark theme. However, the mechanical setup remains unchanged and the bike continues using a 155cc liquid cooled engine producing 18.4PS power.

The updated Ampere Magnus Grand electric scooter and Ampere Magnus G Max electric scooter will arrive with a larger 5-inch display and standard connected features. Greaves Electric Mobility plans to introduce these updates by April 2026, with prices increasing by around Rs 2,000. The CTO Ram Rajappa also said the electric motorcycle segment may take time to mature, stating, “I’d say probably about 18 to 24 months away.”

Hero Xtreme 125R has received two new colour options for the ABS variant. The first option is called Black Moon Yellow which combines a black base shade with bright yellow highlights. Moreover, the second shade called Black Cocktail Blue features more blacked out panels than the earlier blue colour option. These shades highlight the sharp and sporty design of the motorcycle. However, the engine and other mechanical components remain unchanged. In addition, prices increased slightly between Rs 300 and Rs 1,000 depending on the variant.

Ducati has revealed the upcoming Ducati Desmo450 MX on social media, indicating that the India launch could happen soon. The motorcycle uses a 450cc single cylinder engine producing 64 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. Moreover, the engine can rev up to 11,900 rpm and uses Ducati’s desmodromic valve system. The bike also gets 49 mm Showa front forks, a rear monoshock, and 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels. Ducati may price the motorcycle around Rs 12–13 lakh ex-showroom in India.

Yezdi Roadster has received a new special edition variant called Red Wolf. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 2,09,950 (ex-showroom Delhi) which makes it slightly costlier than the previous top variant. Moreover, the new version features a deep red paint finish along with chrome detailing across several components. It also includes a touring windshield, cushioned pillion backrest and quilted brown leather seats. However, the motorcycle continues using the same 334cc liquid-cooled engine producing 29.17PS power paired with a six-speed gearbox.
