BGauss has launched the all-new Oowah electric scooter in India. The company has introduced the new scooter as part of its EV-Pop range, focusing on young riders and first-time electric two-wheeler buyers. The Oowah combines bold styling with features designed for everyday city riding.

The new scooter gets a 145 km ARAI-certified range and a 3.0 kWh CAN-enabled removable LFP battery. In addition, the removable battery allows riders to charge it indoors, which can be helpful for users who do not have dedicated home charging access. The Oowah comes in four colours: Emerald Shadow, Jamun Punch, Zesty Red, and Tangy Toma.

The Oowah uses a 3.0 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with CAN technology. According to BGauss, the scooter delivers an ARAI-certified range of 145 km.

Moreover, the removable battery makes charging more convenient for everyday users. Riders can remove the battery and charge it indoors instead of needing to park the complete scooter near a charging setup. Perhaps this feature will make the Oowah more suitable for people living in homes or buildings without dedicated EV charging facilities.

BGauss has added several features to make daily riding easier. The scooter gets reverse mode, which helps riders move the scooter while parking or using tight spaces. In addition, the distance-to-empty display helps riders keep track of the remaining range.

The Oowah also gets a side-stand sensor for added safety and USB charging for smartphones and other devices. Furthermore, full LED lighting improves visibility, while spacious under-seat storage provides room for daily essentials.

Designed for Gen Z Riders

The Oowah brings a different approach to BGauss' electric scooter range. The company has focused on vibrant colours, bold graphics, and expressive styling to attract younger buyers.

However, BGauss has also kept everyday usability at the centre of the scooter. The company says the Oowah aims to combine design and self-expression with range, convenience, and everyday practicality. It also marks BGauss' first dedicated move towards the youth and first-time buyer segment.

Speaking about the launch, Mr Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss, said: “The Indian two-wheeler buyer is changing faster than most product portfolios have kept pace with Gen Z wants products that are expressive, contemporary, and enjoyable to own. With Oowah, we are introducing a new category that blends bold design with trusted electric mobility. It is a scooter that reflects individuality while delivering the reliability and practicality that riders expect from BGauss.”

Oowah Arrives as EV Demand Grows

The Oowah enters the market as electric two-wheeler adoption continues to grow in India. According to BGauss, electric two-wheeler sales crossed 1.11 million units during the first seven months of 2026. Monthly EV penetration also crossed 11% for the first time.

Therefore, BGauss sees an opportunity to reach a wider group of customers as electric scooters move beyond early adopters. The Oowah expands the company's portfolio beyond its existing commuter and performance-focused models.

Overall, the BGauss Oowah brings a removable battery, 145 km certified range, useful everyday features, and expressive styling. With this new scooter, BGauss aims to attract young riders and first-time EV buyers while building a new EV-Pop category in India's growing electric two-wheeler market.
