Bajaj Auto has reduced the price of the Pulsar NS400Z soon after its recent launch in India. The motorcycle was earlier priced at Rs. 1.94 lakh ex-showroom across major cities. Now, the company has cut the price by Rs. 14,000, bringing it down to Rs. 1.80 lakh. This move comes after the engine was revised to a smaller 349cc unit. The update aimed to bring the bike under the lower GST bracket for better pricing benefits.

The updated price now makes the Pulsar NS400Z more accessible within its segment. In addition, Bajaj states that buyers can save up to Rs. 24,500 on the on road cost. These savings come from reduced insurance premiums and lower registration charges for sub 350cc motorcycles. Therefore, the overall ownership cost becomes slightly lower compared to earlier pricing. This change may attract more buyers looking for a performance focused street motorcycle.

The Pulsar NS400Z continues with a 349cc liquid cooled engine after the recent update. This motor produces 40bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Moreover, the engine is paired with a six speed gearbox for smooth gear transitions. It also includes an assist and slipper clutch for better control during quick downshifts. The motorcycle offers a power to weight ratio of 244bhp per ton.

The feature list on the Pulsar NS400Z remains unchanged despite the price reduction. It includes full LED lighting along with four selectable ride modes for different riding conditions. In addition, the bike gets traction control and dual channel ABS for improved safety. The motorcycle also offers a quick shifter for clutchless gear changes during rides. Bluetooth connectivity is available with navigation, call alerts, & SMS notifications.
