Bajaj has introduced an updated version of the Pulsar NS400Z with a revised 349cc engine in India. The motorcycle continues with the same design & features, while engine figures have been slightly reduced. It now produces 40 bhp and 33.2 Nm from the new setup, which replaces the earlier 373cc unit. However, the company has not changed the price, which remains Rs 1,93,900 ex-showroom Delhi.

Engine Update and Key Changes

The Pulsar NS400Z now runs on a smaller 349cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine in the India market. This new unit delivers slightly lower output compared to the earlier 373cc engine used before. Therefore, power drops by around 2.4 bhp and torque reduces by 1.8 Nm in this updated version.

The new engine setup is expected to be similar to the one used in Bajaj Dominar 400 recently. In addition, the stroke length is reduced while bore size remains unchanged in this configuration. This change affects the way power is delivered across different riding conditions on this motorcycle.
Hardware Remains Unchanged
Bajaj has not made any changes to the hardware and overall setup of this motorcycle. It continues with a perimeter frame, USD front forks, and rear monoshock suspension system. Moreover, braking duties are handled by front and rear disc brakes with dual channel ABS system.
