Bajaj Pulsar 220F and Pulsar F250: Specifications comparison

Here, we will compare Bajaj's two most demanding and fancy bikes. The first one is Pulsar F250, and another is Pulsar 220F. Further, Pulsar F250 is the successor of the 220F. At its new price of Rs. 1.39 lakh, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, which is relaunched, is almost equally priced to the Pulsar F250's single-channel ABS model.

Continue reading to learn how these Pulsars from two different times compare when written down.

This news section contains one of the biggest surprises for Pulsar lovers. More contemporary Pulsar F250 has greater peak output numbers in this case. Moreover, the new Pulsar F250 produces higher torque earlier in the rpm range. Yet, the new engines significantly gained improvement in refinement.

Further, the new bike is more silent than the noisy 220F engine. All these things get everyone's attention towards the new Pulsar. Furthermore, there is a 5-speed gearbox on both bikes.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F vs. F250: Suspension and Brakes

The relatively dated twin shock setup and the tiny 120-section rear tyre are two more ageing aspects of the Pulsar 220F. Wider tyres and a rear mono-shock on the new F250 improve grip in the real world. Although both of these bikes have 230mm rear discs, it also boasts a larger 300mm front disc brake. The F250 is available in a dual-channel version. However, both bikes use a single-channel ABS setup.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F vs. F250: dimensions and weight

Although most of the figures mentioned above are comparable, the F250 has a more refined and user-friendly riding experience thanks to its new tubular steel frame and wheels. The Pulsar 220F gains some ground because, although having a slightly bigger fuel tank. It is the lighter bike in this comparison.

Features of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F and F250

The Pulsar F250 has a slip/assist clutch, a digital-analogue dash with a gear indication, a USB charger, and all-LED illumination. In fact, for an additional Rs 12,000, it is also available with dual-channel ABS. In comparison, the Pulsar 220F is a fairly basic machine, which is unsurprising given its age. Despite lacking a gear indication, it comes standard with a projector headlamp and a semi-digital dashboard.

Prices for the Bajaj Pulsar 220F and F250

Although the Pulsar F250 is a brand-new motorcycle with far more polished foundations, it is only somewhat more expensive than the Pulsar 220F, which is 16 years old. However, the Pulsar 220 F's reappearance demonstrates that there is still a strong market for the motorcycle in some regions of the nation.

Bajaj has copied TVS's strategy, which sells the more recent, more contemporary Apache RTR 160 4V alongside the roughly 17-year-old Apache RTR 160 2V that had a significant overhaul. Although Bajaj is ready to give its consumers the option of keeping the outdated motorcycle, the company is making sure the customers pay the same price as they would have for its vastly superior replacement.
