Ather Will Launch 2-New E-Scooters in 2024

Tarun Mehta, Ather Energy CEO & co-founder has officially confirmed the launch of 2 new electric scooters in 2024. The confirmation was done via a social media post. Speaking of the E-Scooters, one of the electric scooters will be family-oriented. This scooter will address a few issues related to performance in the existing 450 series. On the other hand, the other electric scooter will be an extended variant of the existing 450X. However, this extended version will come with improved performance & better features. 
 

Let’s have a detailed review. 

New Ather: Family-Oriented Scooter

• The current 450S & 450X scooters have a sporty appearance and are fun to ride. However, their small size limits their practicality for everyday use.
   
• To address this issue, Ather is developing new E-scooters with a larger & wider seat. In addition, the more spacious floorboard alongside a larger boot space will be customised to meet the needs of urban commuters.
   

The new e-scooters are more likely to be designed for greater range & performance making them more suitable for everyday commuting. In addition, these scooters will be priced lesser than the existing 450 range, making it accessible to the larger audience.
 

Mehta stated, “It's designed with your entire family in mind, offering comfort, ample size, and a whole lot more – all wrapped up in one fantastic package. We're ensuring it's affordable, making the Ather family experience accessible to more people.”
 

New Ather 450: Enhanced Performance

Mehta claims these e-scooters to be the evolution of the existing 450 series for a cause. The 450 is already among the quickest accelerating scooters in India, reaching from 0 - 40 kmph with a top speed of 90 kmph. Therefore, we can expect a small increment in the acceleration of the new models and reach up to 100 kmph of top speed. In addition, some slight updates in design are also expected. There might be some new added features as well. 

Mehta further added “This new iteration is set to be the absolute pinnacle of refined performance. It will have best-in-class features that will redefine your riding experience. We’re launching in early 2024, and yes, it comes with a premium price tag, but trust me, it's worth every bit,” he added.
