Ather to Launch Special Edition of 450X on Its 10th Anniversary

The 450X Special Edition is expected to be based on the Gen 4 Platform and offer an enhanced range than the current version and new paint schemes.
 

Ather Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric 2-wheeler manufacturer, is going to complete 10 years this month. The brand currently stands among one of the electric 2-wheeler companies in India and has a wide range of products. On this 10th anniversary, the brand will likely launch a special edition of its flagship model, Ather 450X. 
 

This model will also bring the fourth generation of the 450X, which has already been listed on the website. It means the possibility of 450X launching with Gen4 is high in the market. If it happens, you will see the Ather 450X Gen4 boast new colour schemes and better performance. 
 

The current version of Ather 450X is equipped with a 3.7kWh battery, which offers a true range of 105 Km. Whereas the 450X Gen4, having the same battery size, has been listed with a true range of 110 Km on the website. Even the charging time of both vehicles is the same: 4 hours and 30 minutes. 
 

The 450X Special Edition will launch with the same bodywork and hardware system. So, we are executing the pointy front fascia with a sharp and sporty design like the current running model. Also, the front telescopic forks and the rear monoshock will remain the same, along with the rear and front discs. 
 

However, the 450X Special Edition’s features can be slightly different as it will get the joystick system for its switchgear from the newly launched 450S. 
 

Ather Energy has 3 models in its portfolio - 450S, 450X (2.9kWh), and 450X (3.7kWh). The price of 450S is Rs. 1.30 Lakh, while the 450X base trim and top-spec model are offered for Rs. 1.38 Lakh and 1.45 Lakh, respectively. The price of this 450X Special Edition, based on the Gen4 platform, is expected to be a little high.
