2024 Yamaha RayZR Launched in Europe: Priced At Rs. 2.30 Lakh

Yamaha has introduced the 2024 RayZR in the European market, priced at a significant EUR 2,549. It is roughly equivalent to Rs. 2.30 lakh in Indian currency. The European variant mirrors its Indian counterpart in design and features. Moreover, this bike retains signature elements such as the compact front visor, integrated LED headlight, and unified seat. 

This pricing gap stems primarily from import duties, as the scooter is predominantly manufactured in Asian countries, including India. Remarkably, the European model maintains the same youthful appeal and performance as its Indian counterpart. This makes it an attractive choice for European riders seeking style and agility on urban streets.

2024 Yamaha RayZR Specifications

 

2024 Yamaha RayZR comes with a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection. It gives out 8bhp power @ 6,500rpm and 10.3Nm torque @ 5,000rpm. The Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid series, starting in 2023, has an OBD-II sensor and works with E-20 fuel.

It has telescopic front forks and a rear spring for suspension. The basic model has drum brakes on both wheels, while the premium version has a disc brake in the front. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

2024 Yamaha RayZR Features

The updated Yamaha RayZR comes with a start-and-stop system and an LCD console to improve fuel efficiency. In India, it also offers smartphone connectivity, which is not available in Europe. Another feature is the Intelligent Power Assist system, using the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) for extra thrust. 

This SMG system, present in all 125cc Yamaha scooters, acts as an electric motor for additional power during acceleration or uphill climbs. Other features include an Automatic Stop & Start system, a side-stand engine cut-off function, and a combined braking system, similar to the previous version. These features enhance both performance and safety, making the RayZR a convenient and efficient choice for riders.
