2024 BMW S 1000 XR Launched at Rs. 22.50 Lakh In India: Gets Rs. 40,000 More Expensive!

BMW Motorrad has launched the new 2024 S 1000 XR in India, priced at Rs. 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This sports tourer is now available for booking at all BMW Motorrad India dealerships. The 2024 model costs Rs. 40,000 more than its predecessor and comes with aesthetic updates.

The 2024 BMW S 1000 XR will be sold in India as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Along with this, BMW has also introduced the high-performance M 1000 XR, which is priced at Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom). This new version offers enhanced performance compared to the standard model.

2024 BMW S 1000 XR Design 

 

The 2024 BMW S 1000 XR has received some minor cosmetic updates. These include new rear and front fenders that are now painted in the bike’s body colour. The motorcycle is now 10 mm higher and has a new comfortable seat for longer rides.

The BMW S 1000 XR is now available in Lightwhite solid paint/Motorsport, Gravity Blue metal (with Style Sports) and Blackstorm metal. The design includes a pointed front, high-flying lines, and a sleek upright riding handle.

The S 1000 XR combines practicality with sporty design. Inspired by its supersport sibling, the S 1000 RR, it features split LED headlights integrated into the active grille. It has a smoked finish and a sculpted body.

This new BMW Motorrad bike is available in Touring and Dynamic packages. These packages provide the features needed for long trips while increasing performance and comfort. Riders can also opt for an optional M package, which includes an exclusive Lightwhite/M Motorsport paint job for extra power.

2024 BMW S 1000 XR Specifications 

The BMW S 1000 XR is powered by a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that produces 170bhp and 114Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine allows the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.25 seconds and reach a top speed of 253 kmph. Moreover, the bike features USD front forks, a monoshock, and a stabiliser for suspension.

Furthermore, it has dual discs at the front and a single-disc brake at the rear end with dual-channel ABS. The S 1000 XR is fitted with 17-inch wheels with road-focused 120/70 front and 190/55 rear tyres. 

2024 BMW S 1000 XR Features 

BMW S 1000 XR offers several features for customisation and comfort. Owners can opt for the M package, which includes the exclusive Light white/M Motorsport paint, M Sport seat, and M lightweight battery. Also, this package includes M forged wheels, M Endurance chain, M GPS-Laptrigger.

The standard seat height is 850 mm, but it can be lowered with optional low suspension and a low seat. This bike also features a sports silencer, a tinted sports windscreen, and a black fuel filler cap. BMW also offers optional accessories like panniers, a top box, and carbon fibre crash bars for added convenience and safety.

The motorcycle is equipped with a colour TFT display and various electronic aids such as riding modes, ABS, traction control, and engine brake control to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.
