Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Bags 8th Position on the List of Top 10 Scooters Sold In December 2022

The Fascino 125, a mild-hybrid scooter from Yamaha, made it to the top ten list of two-wheeler sales for December 2022, according to data given by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Here is how the remaining models from the bikemaker performed.

Yamaha Bikes:

On the motorbike side of things, the overall picture was inconsistent. The FZ25 series, which includes both the FZ 25 and the FZS 25, had a meagre 16% growth in comparison to the MT-15 V2, which saw a staggering 186% increase.

On the other hand, the FZ range (the FZ, FZ-S, and FZ-X) showed a significant fall to the tune of 55.9%, while the R15 (both the V4 and S, based on the V3) declined by 7.5%!

Yamaha Scooters:

As previously indicated, the Ray ZR 125 was a popular vehicle, with sales increasing by 49.62% from 6,525 in December 2021 to 9,763 in December 2022. On the other hand, the Fascino 125, a model that is more focused on families, experienced a considerable decline, with sales of 3,623 units in December 2022, representing a dramatic 58.5% decline from the 8,728 units sold in December 2021. However, we were unable to locate the Aerox 155, Yamaha's top-of-the-line sports scooter, sales figures.

But ultimately, Yamaha will experience significant adjustments. First off, the brand will shortly introduce the MT-15, which complies with OBD 2. Additionally, it is considering releasing its large bikes, the MT-07 and MT-09, as well as its electric scooter, the Neo.
