The VLF Strada electric scooter was launched in India on October 12, 2026, with prices starting at Rs 1.20 lakh (ex showroom). Motohaus, which handles VLF sales and service in India, has introduced the scooter in City and Max variants.
The new model replaces the VLF Tennis and offers removable batteries for easier charging. Its claimed range reaches 250km, depending on the variant, putting it against established electric scooters in the Indian market.
The VLF Strada is available in two variants, with different battery capacities and claimed ranges.
| Variant | Price (ex showroom) | Battery | Claimed IDC range |
| City | Rs 1.20 lakh | 2.16 kWh | 130 km |
| Max | Rs 1.55 lakh | 4.32 kWh | 250 km |
The City uses one removable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, while the Max gets two. VLF claims that charging from 20% to 100% takes three hours with one battery and six hours with both batteries. The company has not specified the charger wattage.
Both VLF Strada variants use a hub mounted brushless DC motor producing 4.8kW of peak power and 34Nm of peak torque. The rated power stands at 3kW.
The scooter offers three riding modes:
Both the motor and battery packs carry an IP67 protection rating. However, buyers should follow the manufacturer's guidance on water exposure.
The Strada gets a 240mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, with a combined braking system (CBS). It does not offer ABS.
The VLF Strada features a sporty design with a split seat and a 780mm seat height. Its 175mm ground clearance should help with common road imperfections. The listed kerb weight is 98kg, likely for the lighter City variant.
Other key features include:
The suspension setup includes a 31mm telescopic front fork and preload adjustable twin rear shock absorbers. Buyers can choose from Carbonio Black, Luna White, Titanio Grey and Urbano Silver.
The VLF Strada enters a competitive electric scooter segment. Its rivals include the TVS iQube, TVS Orbiter, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Konarc.
Several competing models start below the Strada's entry price. However, the Max variant's claimed 250km range could interest buyers who want fewer charging stops.
Bookings are open through Motohaus's Indian website. Customers can reserve the City variant for Rs 999 or the Max variant for Rs 1,999.
The VLF Strada offers two removable battery configurations, with a claimed range of up to 250km. Buyers should compare actual range, charging convenience, service access and on road prices before choosing between the variants.
