But on the other hand, there are start-ups like Ola Electric that aim to revolutionise personal mobility by fundamentally reimagining what a scooter may be like rather than merely starting again as an EV manufacturer.

Looks

The S1 Pro is a stylish scooter with a very contemporary appearance. Ola S1 Pro has a personality that prevents you from wanting to look away. The headlight, which has two LED lamps, one for the low beam and the other for high beam, is what I consider to be a brilliant touch in this design. It has a really futuristic aspect.

On the other hand, the TVS iQube S is a typical scooter in terms of appearance. There is almost no way for you to know or even assume that it has an electric heart except for the green licence plate and the side electric badging. Although the design does include some glitzy elements, such as LED lighting, there is nothing really remarkable about it altogether. However, the Ola will just cause you to pause and turn to look at it.

Comfort

For instance, TVS is more adapted to uneven roads of the two vehicles. The iQube's front end can withstand a lot of the abuse that Indian roads can dish out without the rider feeling the worst of it. Although the S1 Pro isn't far behind, it is much more twitchy due to its stiffer front setup. Both scooters are perfectly usable in terms of general rideability.

Ergonomics is a further aspect of comfort for a scooter, and once more, the TVS outperforms the Ola in this area. Ola, on the other hand, is not far behind. But due to its slightly more relaxed ergonomics and lack of noticeable weight or strain on your wrists or shoulders, the iQube S performs significantly better. To relieve the pressure on the shoulders while riding the Ola, users must recline the seat more. And as soon as you slide back, the S1 Pro's performance potential becomes apparent; you immediately notice how much simpler it is to manoeuvre and even tip into corners.

Ride Experience

Even with Ola's recent Move OS3 update, the on-off throttle transition is still subpar. It takes a little while for the drive to engage at low speeds when you turn the throttle. Normal mode keeps things calm as the engine heats up, while Sports and Hyper modes will take you on a mouthwatering journey. The S1 Pro simply outperforms the iQube in all areas, including acceleration and range (the Ola will travel considerably farther than the TVS before its batteries run out). In fact, Ola may be used to truly move between cities.

Only the Eco and Sports modes are available on the iQube S. Both deliver strong performance while moving slowly. Furthermore, at low speeds, the Eco mode responds more quickly than Ola's Normal mode, although it is only capable of 50 km/h, which is a little disappointing. Now that things may go up to 80 km/h in Sport mode, which is better but still far below the 116 km/h that the Ola claims and really achieves, The iQube is, therefore, more suited for short trips because you start longing for the Ola as soon as you find yourself on a great length of road with somewhat greater traffic speeds. Remember that the iQube's real-world range in Sport mode is just 60 kilometres.

Verdict

The iQube has more conventional controls and higher build quality. Additionally, it provides a better riding experience and is more comfortable to use as a scooter. In contrast, the S1 Pro has a fantastic, futuristic appearance; nevertheless, some of the plastic panels on our test scooter weren't quite snug enough. Nevertheless, the S1 Pro will surely get you there quicker and further now. In addition, it offers more features than iQube.

The TVS has a more traditional scooter-like feel and would be appealing to anyone looking for a decent electric scooter to replace their ICE scooter. However, the Ola S1 Pro seems more like a technological wonder, comparable to the most recent iPhone, and you want it because it's cool.
