Suzuki V-Strom 800DE To Launch this Festive Season

Suzuki dealerships have stopped taking bookings of V-Strom 800DE.

The launch of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE in India will happen during the festive season. It appears that Suzuki dealerships are already preparing to launch the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE by ceasing bookings of the V-Strom 650XT. Suzuki has begun communicating with prospective buyers about its official launch. However, no official or unofficial bookings are made for the V-Strom 800DE. 

Features of Suzuki V-Stromm 800DE

The V-Strom 800DE contains a 776cc, parallel-twin engine capable of delivering 83bhp and 78Nm mated to a six-speed gearbox. The V-Strom 800DE provide multiple riding modes to the user and a two-way quick-shifter. The traction control and five-inch TFT screen help maintain stability and provide clarity while riding the bike. Its 21/17-inch spoke wheel combination, and Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires ensure excellent off-road capability.

The motorcycle incorporates suspension components from Showa to handle varied terrain—the front features fully-adjustable forks, allowing riders to fine-tune the suspension. At the rear, a preload-adjustable mono-shock helps maintain stability and comfort. With a generous ground clearance of 220mm and a seat height of 855mm, the V-Strom 800DE is well-suited for adventure touring.

Pricing and Competition of V-Strom 800DE

In terms of positioning, the V-Strom 800DE is expected to be the most affordable bike in its segment upon its launch in India. The bike assembled in India could potentially result in lower taxation. It will compete with the bikes such as BMW F850GS and Triumph Tiger 900 Rally.
