Spotted: New Ather Electric Scooter in the Works

A new testing model was recently spotted in the BTM Layout, Bangalore. An automotive enthusiast, Tushar shared an exclusive spy shot. We believe this model is going to be the upcoming entry-level variant of the Ather 450X Gen 3.

The newly spied Ather E-Scooter will likely have a much smaller engine than the currently sold 450X Gen 3. With Gen 3, the company promises a 146 km range per charge and a 105 km of true range. The new upcoming scooter might come at a much lower range than the Ather 450X Gen 3 because of a smaller motor. However, we can expect the company to have a 7’ touchscreen with Google integration with this new scooter.

In January, Ather Energy launched its Gen 3 electric scooters, under which the 450 Plus was priced at Rs 1.9 lakh while the Ather 450X was priced at Rs 2.13 Lakh in India. These are the ex-showroom prices, excluding the FAME-II subsidy of Rs 55,000. The updated price after the subsidy then came down to Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 1.58 lakh. So the spied upcoming Ather e-scooter might be priced just under Rs 1 Lakh (inclusive of subsidy).
