Soon-to-launch Yamaha Fascino 125 with OBD 2 compliance

Yamaha Motor India will announce its revised scooter range after updating its motorcycle lineup to be OBD 2 compliant. However, information about the 2023 Yamaha Fascino 125 has already been leaked online. According to RTO papers, the 125cc scooter now has an onboard diagnostics (OBD 2) system. Future emission standards are met, and the OBD 2 device continuously checks the vehicle's pollution levels. The paper also mentions the Cygnus Ray ZR, the Cygnus Ray ZR Street Rally, and the Yamaha Fascino 125. Remember that Yamaha changed the name of their scooters from Cynus to Ray ZR and Ray ZR Street Rally with the last update.

The same 125cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor powers all three Yamaha scooters. The motor receives no modifications besides OBD 2 compliance and still produces 8 bhp at 6,500 rpm. With the introduction of the 2023 YZF-R15, MT-15, FZ-S, and FZ-X, Yamaha Motor India recently upgraded its motorcycle lineup. According to expectations, the business will soon release new versions of its scooters. The type certification certificate has revealed the characteristics of the incoming scooters, even though the Indian branch of the Japanese company has not yet disclosed the launch information. The current version's maximum torque is 10.3 Nm.

Although no feature enhancements are mentioned in the paper, Yamaha India might update its scooter lineup to include a few value-added features. The versions already have 21 litres of under-seat storage, an alloy wheel, combi-braking, a Bluetooth connection, an LED headlamp, and more. The Yamaha Fascino 125 currently has a price of 77,100, the Ray ZR starts at 82,230, and the Ray ZR Street Rally begins at 91,030. Everything is priced ex-showroom in Delhi. For the 2023 model year, prices should increase. Yamaha is also anticipated to release the OBD 2-compliant Aerox 155 and its 125 cc scooter lineup. The launch is likely to happen soon.
