Simple is Likely to Launch Dot One on December 15, 2023

Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based startup, has announced the launch of a new electric scooter named the Dot One on December 15. As per the company’s claims, the Dot One will be available under Rs. 1 Lakhs, competing against the Ola S1 X.

Dot One: Specs
 

Dot One will be similar to One e-scooter but without the removable battery pack. This will have a 3.7kWh battery capacity & 160 km of claimed IDC range. However, the Dot One could use a slightly less powerful motor than the One’s unit, having a claimed 8.5 kW battery capacity & 72 Nm torque.
 

We don’t have much information about the Simple Dot One. However, it is unlikely to differ too much visually compared to Dot One. Furthermore, it will have a storage capacity of over 30 litres. However, the exact figure hasn’t been disclosed yet.
 

Dot One: Features
 

Speaking of features, the Dot One will come with a touchscreen TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, both scooters share the same platform, so their unit could be similar.
 

Dot One: Price & Rivals
 

The Dot One will be available at sub-Rs. 1 Lakhs price. In terms of price, the Dot One won’t have many rivals, except for the Ola S1 X.
 

Simple has delivered only 40 One electric scooters across India since its launch in May 2023 as of now.
