Rider SR6 Electric Bike to Boast a Whopping 140 KM Range - Will It Come To India?

Rider SR6 has recently been unveiled, which can cover a whopping 140 km on a single charge. However, it is yet to be confirmed if it will ever hit Indian roads. 

However, let's look at what we would get if it made its debut in India. It would be a worthy rival to the recently released enthusiast EV Ultraviolette F77 if it were to be made available.

Rider SR6 Design:

There are many benefits to using Rider SR6. The YZF line of motorcycles from Yamaha is the source of many design inspirations. It is noticeable, especially in the front fascia. The fairing is expertly crafted and features vents to keep the battery cool. To reduce the weight of the frame, the battery pack is mounted low.

Rider SR6 Engine Specs:

While the battery is exposed lower down to aid with cooling, the engine is a hub unit built into the back wheel of the car. The well-known EV component manufacturer QS Motor brand produces this motor. It has a peak output of 6 kW and a continuous output of 5 kW (6.7 horsepower) (8.04 bhp). The torque of the SR6 is not on par with that of a 125cc motorcycle, but its power is.

At 118 Nm and 0 RPM, it provides a considerable amount of torque. Different measurements are used to determine hub-mounted motor torque, which is always higher. However, the top speed is 74.5 mph (120 kph). Power is provided by a 72 V, 86 Ah battery. These elements come together to produce a battery pack with a 6.192 kWh capacity.

Rider SR6 Range:

According to its advertising, Rider SR6 can go 100 kilometres at an average speed of 80 km/h on a single charge. The rider claims that when travelling at 50 km/h with a light throttle, a single charge will give 140 km of range. A type 2 connector is also supported for rapid charging, although a 220V conventional household socket requires 9 hours to fully charge.

Rider SR6 Other Features:

Componentry-wise, the Rider SR6 fully-faired electric motorcycle has a lot to offer. There are handlebars with clips that enable a focused, slouched riding position. The footpegs are also situated in the rear. We have a 240 mm disc in the back and two 300 mm brake rotors up front. The front is supported by USD front forks, while the rear is equipped with a mono-shock.

The rear suspension can be altered by turning an external rotary dial. It appears that the front USD forks are likewise adjustable, though this is not certain. However, the Rider SR6's price is known. The Ultraviolette F77 costs between Rs. 3.8 lakh and Rs. 5.5 lakh. Thus it almost doesn't make sense at this price before taxes and import fees.
