Ola Electric has launched its new S1Z electric scooter in India. The scooter is available in two variants, with prices starting at Rs. 79,999 (ex-showroom). The S1Z uses Ola’s in-house developed Bharat Cell LFP battery technology and offers a claimed range of up to 301km.
The S1Z is offered with two battery options.
The larger 5.1kWh battery variant offers significantly more range, making it suitable for riders who regularly travel longer distances.
Both versions of the S1Z use the same 4kW electric motor. The scooter has a claimed top speed of 70kmph.
The 3.1kWh version can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 4.9 seconds, while the 5.1kWh version takes 4.6 seconds.
The Ola S1Z comes with a 4.3-inch LCD display. It shows important information such as speed, time, battery level, trip details and odometer readings.
The Ola electric scooter also gets several useful features, including geofencing and live location monitoring. Other features include cruise control, reverse mode and regenerative braking.
The S1Z runs on Ola MoveOS 5 and supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates, allowing new features and improvements to be added remotely.
Ola Electric plans to start deliveries of the 3.1kWh S1Z from December 2026. The more expensive 5.1kWh variant will be delivered from March 2027.
Overall, the S1Z aims to offer a combination of affordable pricing, long range and connected technology in India’s growing electric scooter market.
