TVS has replaced the entry level iQube 2.2kWh with a new 2.3kWh variant. The new model costs Rs. 1.16 lakh, (ex-showroom Bengaluru) excluding the PM E-Drive subsidy. The price remains unchanged, while the larger battery increases the claimed range. However, TVS has also made some changes to the scooter’s performance and hardware.

TVS iQube Gets More Range

TVS iQube 2.3 kWh

The new 2.3kWh battery increases the claimed IDC range from 94km to 114km. This 20km increase could help riders cover longer daily trips. However, the scooter now uses a smaller 3.68kW motor. Other TVS iQube variants continue with the more powerful 4.4kW motor.

The lower motor output reduces the top speed from 75kmph to 68kmph. In addition, the 0 to 40kmph acceleration time has increased from 4.2 seconds to 4.7 seconds. Charging from 0 to 80% now takes 2 hours and 50 minutes. This TVS electric scooter is slightly longer than the 2 hours and 45 minutes needed by the earlier 2.2kWh variant.

The TVS iQube 2.3 kWh also gets a front drum brake instead of the front disc brake offered on the outgoing version.

Same Price, Different Package

At Rs. 1.16 lakh, the new iQube 2.3kWh keeps the same price as the outgoing model. Therefore, buyers get more claimed range without paying extra. However, the lower top speed, slower acceleration, and simpler front brake make it a different package. This variant likely suits buyers who prioritize range over performance
