MATTER To Launch Four New Electric Bikes in Next 24 Months, Expand AERA Technology

MATTER Motor Works has raised $25 million (Rs 240 crore) in growth capital on August 25, 2026, in Ahmedabad. Existing investors anchored the round as customer waitlists for the AERA continue to grow. MATTER will use the funding for manufacturing, supply chain capacity, distribution, and four new motorcycle launches. The company plans to extend the AERA platform into new variants and rider segments over the next 12 to 24 months.

MATTER Funding To Expand Manufacturing

Over the next 12 months, MATTER will focus the capital on three priorities.

MATTER said its total capital raised has now reached around Rs 1,000 crore. More than Rs 750 crore has already been deployed across manufacturing, R&D, and market entry.

AERA Technology And Everyday Use

The AERA uses MATTER's in house powertrain, battery systems, control electronics, and software. Its HyperShift transmission uses a four speed manual gearbox for the electric motorcycle.

The AERA gets a liquid cooled battery pack and motor, along with a 172 km certified range per charge. Its onboard charging system works with a standard 5-amp household socket.
A seven inch connected touchscreen adds navigation, music, and call integration for daily riding.

Four New Motorcycles Planned

MATTER plans four new motorcycles based on the AERA platform over the next 12 to 24 months. The company says these models will target new variants and rider segments. Each motorcycle will use the same in house powertrain, battery, and software stack.

The upcoming products will add to a market that includes electric motorcycle names such as Revolt, Ultraviolette and Oben.

What This Means For Buyers

For potential AERA buyers, the funding could support higher production capacity and wider distribution.

The company has not shared launch dates or pricing for the four upcoming motorcycles. For now, the AERA remains central to MATTER's next growth phase.
